LabelOrigin, a Rankly Design brand, connects med spas and salons with US manufacturers like Renaud Naturals (Loveland, CO). Robert is your contact from first question to samples. LabelOrigin does not sell product — the manufacturer quotes and fulfills.
The sample kit is Renaud Naturals' (Loveland, CO). Requesting samples starts with the three-step form: your buyer brief and reference ID arrive instantly, then Robert replies by email with the current minimums and timing for your shortlist in writing. There is no obligation to order after trying the samples.
From first question to first order: the seven steps
Every step below names who does it and what you get at that step. That is the difference: you get something concrete at every step, starting with the buyer brief in step 1. One note on routes before you start: the steps below follow the wholesale form, which fits every buyer. There is a second, direct route — the Renaud Naturals funnel — for buyers who already meet its volume minimum (12+ units per SKU); it is described after step 7.
Step 1 — Tell us about your line
Three short steps on the wholesale page — easy questions first, your details last, and nothing is sent until step 3. Step 1 asks what kind of business it is (med spa, salon, solo esthetician, tanning studio, brand creator, or other), which products the line should cover (facial care, body care, sun care, sunless tanning, hair care, makeup, wellness), and roughly how many units to start, in total across the line (under 50, 50–100, 100–250, 250+, or not sure yet). Step 2 asks what your business offers, what retail skincare you carry today, and anything else about the line. Step 3 is your first name, email, and business or practice name, with a website optional.
Who does it: you, in a few minutes.
What you get: your buyer brief downloads instantly — a one-page summary of your answers (your products, volume, packaging, timeline, and budget band), yours to keep — your answers go to Robert — plus a reference ID to quote in any follow-up. If the form cannot send, the screen tells you to email ranklydesign@gmail.com directly and mention the reference.
Step 2 — Robert replies with your shortlist in writing
Robert reviews your request and replies to the work email you provided with the manufacturers that fit your line — the reply names each one, so your shortlist is a named list — and their current minimums and timing, in writing. The reply is specific to your line because the form asked about your treatments and volume first. We reply by email, usually within a business day. The manufacturer reviews on its own timetable — the Renaud Naturals funnel states its review time on its own confirmation screen.
Who does it: LabelOrigin (Robert).
What you get: the manufacturers that fit your line, with their current per-SKU minimums and timing, in writing. Nothing on this site is a quote — the written quote comes from the manufacturer in step 4.
Step 3 — Try the sample kit first
Before you commit to any product, any formula, or any manufacturer, request a sample kit and try the formulas in your treatment room, on skin, over days — the way your clients will actually use them. Have your providers evaluate samples specifically on post-procedure suitability: skin recovering from a procedure needs gentler, simpler formulas than daily maintenance products. Sample kits are priced per unit — we will confirm the per-unit price in writing with the minimums.
Who does it: the manufacturer sends the kit; you evaluate it.
What you get: the kit itself, and a real basis for deciding. There is no obligation to order after trying the samples. A manufacturer that is slow or vague at the sample stage will not get faster after you have paid.
Step 4 — The manufacturer quotes
The manufacturer quotes your shortlist. The per-SKU minimum depends on the formula and packaging you choose, so LabelOrigin does not publish a number — ask in the form and you will get the current per-SKU minimums for your shortlist in writing before you commit to anything. For a sense of the range, the manufacturers list shows published minimums from makers we’ve checked — from 6 units per SKU for private label to 2,500 for full custom — but your manufacturer’s figure comes in writing with your quote. The same applies to timing: ask for current timing in writing. Renaud Naturals quotes and fulfills; LabelOrigin never sells, prices, or ships product.
Who does it: the manufacturer (Renaud Naturals) quotes and fulfills.
What you get: a written quote for your shortlist, with the minimums and timing for your products — not a number from a website.
Step 5 — Approve labels and packaging
You approve the label artwork and packaging, and final packaging and label design are confirmed with the manufacturer. The label has to carry what the rules require — our label requirements guide covers what goes on the label, and our MoCRA guide covers the brand owner’s duties (registration, listing, safety substantiation, adverse events). The label preview on the wholesale page shows your brand on the bottle before anything is printed, but it is an illustrative mockup — final packaging and label design are confirmed with the manufacturer.
Who does it: you approve; the manufacturer confirms.
What you get: approved artwork and a label that meets the requirements, before a first order is printed.
Step 6 — Production and your first order
The manufacturer produces your order. Renaud Naturals formulates in-house in Loveland, Colorado, and has made natural skincare in small batches since 1997 — made in the USA, and shipped across the USA and abroad. Timing is confirmed in writing with your quote; ask for current timing in writing rather than taking a number from this page, because it depends on your shortlist.
Who does it: the manufacturer produces and ships.
What you get: your first order, shipped by the manufacturer under your own label.
Step 7 — Retail it in your spa
You sell under your own label — but check the permission side before your first retail sale. Our state-rules table covers all 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico (52 jurisdictions), verified against official state sources: 49 of 52 require a shop or facility license to sell skincare in a salon or med spa, and 45 of 52 require a sales-tax permit. Find your state’s row, then price the line: the private-label margin calculator works out what a retail month is worth at your units, price, and commission.
Who does it: you retail; LabelOrigin’s dataset tells you the rules.
What you get: your own label on the shelf, priced from your own numbers.
Who does what
LabelOrigin works differently from a single manufacturer: we connect you with US manufacturers, and the manufacturer does the making. The table is the whole model in one place.
| Task | LabelOrigin | Manufacturer | You |
|---|---|---|---|
| Find manufacturers | Connects you with US manufacturers | — | — |
| Reply with minimums + timing | Robert replies by email, in writing | — | — |

Two ways in
The steps above follow the wholesale form — three steps, a buyer brief, and a reference ID — and it fits every buyer: there is no volume gate. There is a second way in for buyers who already meet the volume minimum (12+ units per SKU): the Renaud Naturals funnel, a four-step form (business, volume, program, details) with a qualification gate on volume. If you qualify, your submission — with your reference ID and your own answers — is forwarded to the client’s sales team; if you are below the minimum, not the right fit yet — we will suggest other options or revisit when the timing’s better. If you are not sure which route fits, start with the wholesale form. Both ways end at the same place: a conversation with the manufacturer about your line, with Robert as your contact from first question to samples.
