US private label skincare manufacturers for spas & estheticians (2026)

Most “best manufacturer” lists are written by people who have never ordered from anyone on them. This one is different: every fact below was checked against the manufacturer’s own website, most recently on 6 November 2026, and every entry links to the page it came from. Twelve US manufacturers, their locations, their published minimums, and what each one is actually set up to do.

Updated 6 November 2026 • Every fact checked against the manufacturer’s own website, most recently on 6 November 2026. MOQs are as published and can change — confirm in writing before you budget. Renaud Naturals is LabelOrigin’s flagship client and is marked as such.

What are the best private label skincare manufacturers in the USA?

The best manufacturer for a spa is the one whose minimum you can sell through, whose formulas fit your clients, and who answers the phone. Twelve US manufacturers publish enough on their own sites to compare honestly — from 6 units per SKU for private label to 2,500 units per SKU for full custom formulation — listed below with locations, published minimums, and specialties, checked most recently 6 November 2026.

There is no single best manufacturer. A med spa launching four aftercare products needs a different partner than a brand scaling to 100,000 units, and a solo esthetician needs a different minimum than both. What this list does is narrow the field honestly: US manufacturers that publish enough about their programs — location, minimums, specialties — for a spa or esthetician to compare them without a sales call first.

How this list was made

The method is simple, and it is the whole point of the page. Every manufacturer on this list is a real US manufacturer with a working website. Every fact — location, published minimum, specialties — comes from that manufacturer’s own website, checked most recently on 6 November 2026, and the source page is linked under each entry. Nothing here comes from a directory, an aggregator, or another listicle.

  • Alphabetical, not ranked. The order is alphabetical. There is no #1, because “best” depends on your minimum, your products, and your budget — not on a score we invented.
  • Published numbers only. Where a manufacturer publishes a minimum order quantity, we quote it exactly as stated, including the tier it applies to (stock, semi-custom, custom). Where a manufacturer does not publish a number, we say “not published” rather than guessing or repeating a third-party figure.
  • Inclusion is not endorsement. Being on this list means the manufacturer publishes verifiable facts about its program. It is not a quality rating, and it is not a recommendation. Two manufacturers on this list have minimums 800 units apart — both can be right for different buyers.
  • Renaud Naturals is our flagship client. Renaud is included on the same terms as everyone else — only checked facts, no unpublished numbers — and its entry says so. Its per-SKU minimums are confirmed in writing on request, not published here.
  • Figures change. Minimums, programs, and specialties are as published on the date each row was last checked. Confirm the current figure in writing before you budget or commit.
  • Last checked dates. Every row in the table below carries the date its facts were last checked against the manufacturer’s own site. The list is rechecked monthly, and the dates move when the facts do.

Manufacturers we checked but did not include: Cosmetic Solutions (Pompano Beach, Florida) publishes no minimum on its own site, so there was nothing verifiable to list. Dynamic Blending (Vineyard, Utah) publishes a 1,000-unit starting minimum on its own site and appears in the published-MOQ table on our MOQ guide, but it is a general contract manufacturer rather than a spa-focused program, so it is not in this list.

The comparison table

Read the table by minimum first, then by specialty. The minimum decides whether you can afford the launch; the specialty decides whether the manufacturer fits your clients. “Not published” means the manufacturer does not state a number on its own site — it does not mean there is no minimum.

Showing 12 of 12 manufacturers.

Bands use each maker’s lowest published private-label minimum; higher custom tiers are in the table.

How it works

How to use this list

Shortlist three manufacturers whose published minimum you can sell through in three to six months, then send all three the same brief: your products, your quantities, your packaging, and your timeline. Compare the replies on the same criteria — minimum per SKU, what the quote includes, lead time, testing, and reorder terms — not on per-unit price alone. Our buyer checklist is the brief to send, and our manufacturer scorecard weights the answers so the comparison stays honest. And before you commit, run your planned first order through our private-label margin calculator — a low per-unit price means little until you see the margin per SKU.

When you are ready to start, our step-by-step guide walks through the launch: how to start a skincare line. Licensing and sales tax are covered by the state-rules table for all 52 jurisdictions. And if Colorado is home, four makers on this list are based there — private label skincare manufacturers in Colorado, with the DORA shop registration and sales-tax license for starting a line in the state.

Before you commit to anyone on this list, request a sample kit and evaluate it the way your clients will: texture, scent, packaging, and labeling, plus the paperwork that comes with it. And confirm the minimum in writing — the figure on a website is a starting point, and the figure in your quote is the one that counts.

The minimum you can sell through beats the minimum that looks cheapest per unit. A 500-unit minimum at a low per-unit price is still 500 units to store, sell, and move before they expire. A 25-unit minimum at a higher per-unit price is a test you can afford to run.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which US private-label skincare manufacturer has the lowest minimum order?

Of the manufacturers in this list that publish a number, Aesthetic Back Bar is lowest at 6 items per SKU for private label, followed by SlimSpa at 12 units per product. Trilogy Laboratories and Beauty Branding Lab publish 25 units per SKU. Renaud Naturals does not publish a number — its per-SKU minimums are confirmed in writing on request.

What is a typical MOQ for a US private-label skincare manufacturer?

Published US private-label minimums in this list run from 6 units per SKU for private label to 2,500 units per SKU for full custom formulation. Most low-MOQ programs built for spas and estheticians sit between 12 and 50 units per SKU. Custom formulation starts higher — typically 250 to 2,500 units per SKU — because development work comes before production.

Are these manufacturers suitable for med spas and estheticians?

This list was chosen for spa and esthetician buyers. Several manufacturers serve licensed professionals specifically — Trilogy works with med spas, dermatologists, and estheticians; Aesthetic Back Bar and SlimSpa are built for estheticians and spas. Confirm licensing requirements with the manufacturer before ordering, as some programs are trade-only.

Do these manufacturers publish their MOQs?

Most do, and this list quotes only what each manufacturer publishes on its own website, checked most recently 6 November 2026. Where a manufacturer does not publish a number — Renaud Naturals — we say so rather than guessing. Published minimums can change, so confirm the figure in writing before you budget.

How was this list put together?

Every fact below comes from the manufacturer’s own website, checked most recently on 6 November 2026, with the source linked under each entry. The list is alphabetical, not ranked, and inclusion is not an endorsement or a quality rating. Renaud Naturals is LabelOrigin’s flagship client and LabelOrigin partner, and is marked as such. Figures are as published and can change.

What is a private label skincare manufacturer?

A company that manufactures finished skincare products under your brand name, instead of its own. You choose from its existing formulas, it fills, labels, and packs the product with your label, and you sell it as your own line. That is different from a contract manufacturer that only fills a formula you bring, and from custom formulation, where a new formula is developed for you.

How do I choose a private label skincare manufacturer?

Shortlist three whose published minimum you can sell through in three to six months, whose formulas fit your clients, and who answer when you write. Send all three the same brief — products, quantities, packaging, timeline — and compare the replies on the same criteria: minimum per SKU, what the quote includes, lead time, testing, and reorder terms. Our buyer checklist is the brief to send, and our manufacturer scorecard weights the answers.

What does it cost to start a private label skincare line?

There is no single figure: it depends on the minimum per SKU, the per-unit cost, and what you spend on labels and packaging. FormuNova notes a minimum budget of around $2,000 for a launch, with most launches needing $5,000 to $10,000. Run your planned first order through the private-label margin calculator before you commit, so the cost is tied to your own numbers.

What is the difference between private label and custom formulation?

Private label uses the manufacturer’s existing formulas under your brand — lower minimums and faster launch. Custom formulation develops a new formula for you — higher minimums, upfront development fees, and a longer timeline. Trilogy, for example, charges 25 units per SKU for private label and 1,000 units per SKU for custom formulation, and custom development carries upfront formulation and testing fees before production.

Do I need a license to sell skincare in my med spa?

It depends on your state. Our state-rules table covers all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico (52 jurisdictions), checked against each state’s official board and revenue pages. No verified jurisdiction requires a separate retail-only license — the two filings are the salon or shop license and the sales-tax permit.

What are my MoCRA duties as a brand owner?

Under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act, the brand owner is responsible for facility registration, product listing, safety substantiation, adverse-event reporting and recordkeeping, and compliant labeling. Our MoCRA guide for brand owners walks through each duty.

Can I get samples before I commit?

Yes. Request a sample kit and evaluate it the way your clients will — texture, scent, packaging, and labeling. Renaud Naturals offers a lab visit in Loveland as well as a sample kit. Some makers charge for samples: Compounding Cosmetics lists private-label samples at $50, and Aesthetic Back Bar sells a $99 starter set of five full-size products under your label.

How long does it take to launch a private label line?

Published lead times in this list run from 2 to 6 weeks: Aesthetic Back Bar 2–4 weeks, Delúvia 2–3 weeks once label design is approved, FormuNova 4–6 weeks, Next Beauty Labs 2–4 weeks for private label and 4–6 weeks for semi-custom, and SlimSpa ships 7–14 days from approval. Custom formulation takes longer — Trilogy lists custom development at 3–9 months plus 6–8 weeks of production. Confirm current timing in writing before you budget.

What has to be on a skincare product label?

Product identity, net contents, an ingredient list, and the name and address of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor. If the product makes drug claims, it needs a Drug Facts panel and must meet drug labeling rules. Our label-requirements guide covers what goes on the label and which claims turn a cosmetic into a drug.

Are there private label skincare manufacturers in Colorado?

Yes — four are based in Colorado, and one of them, Renaud Naturals, is in the list above. The other three — Fifth Street Labs in Colorado Springs, OraLabs in Parker, and Midsolid in Douglas County — are on our Colorado manufacturers page, which lists each one with what its own site says, plus the DORA shop registration and sales-tax license for starting a line in the state.
